Free Eye Screening Initiative Marks World Sight Day at Gordon Secondary School

In celebration of World Sight Day, PIH Eye Care and the Laila Foundation, in collaboration with Gordon Secondary School, launched a Free Eye Screening program aimed at promoting eye health among students. The initiative, held at Gordon Secondary School—one of the public schools in the National Capital District (NCD)—was officially inaugurated by Health Minister Hon. Elias Kapavore, MP.

This meaningful partnership highlights the importance of corporate social responsibility in improving community health and well-being. The program provided students with access to essential eye care services, helping to identify and address vision issues that could impact their learning and quality of life.

The program will initially cover all Government Schools in NCD and during the next stage rolled out country wide. Under this project the students will receive free prescription eyeglasses.
